Beachfront Location

Suspended above Playa Penca and the Bay of Papagayo, the Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica offers stunning Pacific Ocean views and easy beach access via walking paths that connect every residence to the sand. You’ll enjoy year-round watersports – paddleboarding, surfing, boating, swimming, snorkeling, ocean kayaking, and more – and opportunities for hiking, climbing, mountain biking, and other adventures.

 

Luxury Beach Club

The Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica will welcome residents to its luxury Beach Club, which will serve as focal point to the resort’s recreation options. As of early 2023, the Beach Club’s full features and amenities have yet to be announced; we will update this space as more information becomes available.

 

Cenote-Inspired Spa 

The Waldorf Astoria’s cenote-inspired spa will offer eight indoor treatment rooms and three outdoor treatment rooms with treehouse-inspired design. As part of the community’s commitment to sustainability, the spa is built atop a natural creek – one element of the resort’s biophilic design for responsible resources management.

 

Resort Swimming Pools

Owners and guests of the Waldorf Astoria Residences Costa Rica will have access to the community’s spectacular swimming pools, which will include several lap and thermal pools. As of early 2023, current renderings show cascading pools located at the Beach Club, plus additional pools around the property. We will update this space as more information becomes available.

 

Holistic Wellness Center

Dedicated to the body and spirit, the Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica will operate a holistic wellness center that extends to a state-of-the-art gym, outdoor yoga spaces, and a movement studio. These will be adjacent to the resort’s main lap and thermal pools. We will update this space as more information becomes available.

 

Restaurants & Bars

The Waldorf Astoria’s retail center will be known as El Pueblo, accessed via the lobby and serving as the resort’s bastion for socializing, relaxation, and enjoyment. Here, you’ll discover and sample culinary excellence through a selection of restaurants, bars, and specialty stores, including a gelato shop.

 

Waldorf Astoria Hotel

The brand’s first property in Costa Rica, the new Waldorf Astoria Hotel will offer 190 rooms, luxury resort amenities, and a wellness experience worthy of the hotel’s name and exclusive international portfolio. We will update this space as more information becomes available.

 

Event Space

The resort will offer approximately 3,000 square meters (32,300 square feet) of elegant and flexible spaces for groups and events. Venues will extend to a ceremonial wedding pavilion, scenic indoor and outdoor spaces, and a grassy event area.

Waldorf Astoria Residences

The Waldorf Astoria Residences of Guanacaste will encompass just 22 oceanfront estate homes and 19 oceanfront condo residences. All residences will be sold fully furnished and owners will have the option to include their property in the Waldorf Astoria rental program.

As of 2023, the residences are available for reservation. Please note that only one condo residence is still available (April 2023). Completion is currently scheduled for late 2024 through early 2025

22 Oceanfront Estate Homes

The Waldorf Astoria Residences Costa Rica will comprise three home designs:

4-Bedroom, 2-Story Estates measuring 3,996 interior ft2 (8,099 total ft2);

5-Bedroom, 2-Story Estates comprising 4,982 interior ft2 (7,860 total ft2);

5-Bedroom, 3-Story Estates over 4,996 interior ft2 (9,887 total ft2).

Prices start at $5.31M for 4-bedroom estates and $7.55M for 5-bedroom estates.

19 Oceanfront Condo Residences

The Waldorf Astoria Residences Costa Rica will also offer two condo designs:

2-bedroom, 3-bathroom residences measuring 1,509 interior ft2 (1,949 total ft2)

3-bedroom, 4-bathroom residences comprising 2,299 interior ft2 (2,741 total ft2).

Prices start at $1.944M for 2-bedroom condo residences and $3,312M for 3-bedroom condo residences.
