Not everyone has long-term staying power, but Rob Goodell is someone who has been there, done that – and is happy to help you do the same! Born in Buffalo, New York and raised in both Texas and California, Rob first visited Costa Rica in 1991 and has lived in Tamarindo since 2007; here, he shares a life with his Costa Rican wife and son, who was born and raised here.
His story began in Solona Beach, California, where he first practiced real estate and specialized in oceanfront condominiums and vacation rentals. Though he enjoyed a successful career there, when he met his wife, Marcela (who is Costa Rican), Rob made the move to Costa Rica – an easy(ish) decision for an avid surfer and angler who loves almost anything that has to do with the ocean!
In Tamarindo, Rob and Marcela have raised their son – if you have questions about relocation with a family or having a child in Costa Rica, Rob is a great resource! – and have created a happy, fulfilling life. Professionally, Rob has built a successful career based on his real estate knowledge, long-term familiarity with Costa Rica and Tamarindo, and both his ability to understand clients’ needs and his willingness to work hard to serve those needs.
