Born in Knoxville, TN, Ian is not only a world traveler but a world resident, having crossed both the U.S. to live in San Diego, CA and oceans to live in both China and Macau. And then, as so many stories begin, Ian and his wife, Sayaka, visited Costa Rica for the first time. They came to see a friend and left with a love for the pura vida lifestyle… and a mission. 

Over the following two years, they prepared for their eventual move in 2017; Costa Rica has been their full-time home ever since. And it fits them well. Ian’s passion for real estate is all-encompassing, and in addition to his real estate career, he also owns a construction and real estate development company, which has honed his eye for high-level detail. His specialty: Providing his clients with insider info on construction quality, paired with an ability to envision possible modifications.
