Villa Paraiso--where the sky meets the sea above the shimmering waters of Tamarindo Bay, Costa Rica. Originally built in 1995, the home was transformed in 2011 into an oasis of luxury featuring 8 bedrooms, 8 ½ baths. Each bedroom features an en suite bathroom with double sinks, 42” plasma TV, high end beds/linens, and spectacular décor and finishes. The sprawling grounds are connected by a reflecting pool running the length of the property and the infinity swimming pool will leave you more than refreshed as you take in the truly breathtaking view above the waves, beaches, coves and estuaries of gorgeous Playa Tamarindo.
The kitchen has been designed for the discerning food lover, with Professional Series stainless equipmen, two refrigerators, two wall mounted ovens, two dishwashers, 5 burner gas cooktop and wine cooler. Just outside to the West, the outdoor grill island and wet bar will help you prepare your days “catch”. All of this is intermingled with the huge entertainment room with ample seating areas and is a space that seamlessly blends from indoors to outdoors. Off the southern edge of the kitchen/great room, enjoy the 16 person outdoor dining pavilion with integrated power roller blinds. Relax on the sunset terrace, enjoy the sundeck on your chaise lounge or just take a seat and overlook the infinity pool as the sun sinks into the Pacific.
While all of the bedrooms in Villa Paraiso are amazing, one stands above the rest. The “Cielos” Penthouse Suite is the crown jewel of the home. Perched above the pool, the Cielos Suite will drape you in luxury with your own private terrace and floor to ceiling views…truly spectacular.

From the second we arrived until we walked out the door for the last time we absolutely loved it!
From the second we arrived until we walked out the door for the last time we absolutely loved it! The staff went above and beyond to do everything to make us feel at home. Rosa, Louis, Cletus, and Tony were all great. The views are stunning, the walk to town was short and cabs would take you back up the hill if you wanted at anytime. We had a group of 13 and we couldn't have been happier. The place was super clean and the breakfast every morning was great. We are seriously considering returning every year to the Villa. Not a single complaint and I seriously can't think of a single thing you could do better. Thanks again!!
The name of this property, Villa Paraiso, couldn't be more fitting as our week at VP was paradise indeed!
The name of this property, Villa Paraiso, couldn't be more fitting as our week at VP was paradise indeed! Our group of 15 adults found the grounds to be simply stunning, the accomodations inviting and comfortable, the service impeccable, and the sunsets truly breathtaking. We can only sing the praises of Rosa and Luis, who spent the majority of their days on the property--preparing a delicious daily breakfast, cleaning the entire villa, and tending to any potential maintenance issues with lightning speed. Tony was extremely helpful arranging last minute excursions for us, organizing transportation throughout the week, and even installing an amazing outdoor sound system to enable our nightly dance parties on the patio! We truly had an amazing week at VP and cannot wait to return in the future!

Villa Paraiso was an amazing property with the PERFECT floor plan for our group. There was 13 of us in all with 7 young adults from ages 14-23 and the 8 bedrooms were just amazing. The view does not get any better than at Villa Paraiso, watching the sun set in the evenings were breath taking and the infinity pool was the perfect solution to a hot day. The kitchen set up was the ideal fit for our large group and eating breakfast every morning on the 16 person table out on the deck was an unbelievable way to start our day. My family loved Rosa's breakfast in the morning, the fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, rice and beans, and the wonderful coffee made it hard to leave. One of the best meals is when we had Rosa and Luis (gardner/house keeper) do dinner the last night we were there, the chicken, vegetables, the amazing guacamole, and home made tortilla chips with her guacamole was the best!!!!! If you need anything- adventures, groceries, cab rides, anything just call Mateo and he has it taken care of in 5 minutes, he is amazing and can steer you in the right direction for quality and value. My family absolutely loved this property and our vacation, it was truly PURA VIDA!!!!!!
Can't say enough about Villa Paraiso.
by Avery Simpson
Can't say enough about Villa Paraiso. We stayed for a week in the beginning of July 2014. First of all, the location is awesome. Being up at the top of the hill overlooking Tamarindo was perfect (and a bit cooler/breezier than our friends staying down the road). When we arrived and walked through the gate, we saw the impeccable landscaping and how sparkling the property is...then we saw the pool and the view, and were hooked. I am surprised we made it off the property during the trip...but we did to get down to the amazing beaches. Each night, sunset at the Villa was spectacular. We had a large group of friends taking up all the rooms, but the home still feels roomy and private for all the guests. The penthouse suite is simply amazing! Tony and Mateo were incredibly helpful and gave great advice for booking activities. Villa Paraiso provided a lovely lady who cooked a breakfast tipico for us every morning and cleaned the house each day. This was really a 5-star service. When you vacation with close to 20 people, the house gets messy/sandy, and not having to deal with that every morning made it so relaxing. There is also a gardener each day making sure the grounds stay perfect as well as 24/hr security. You really don't feel that you need it, but it made us feel extra safe about leaving our belongings when we weren't there. This is THE place to stay in Tamarindo. I hope to go back one day!

We chose Villa Paraiso as one of the locations for our group to stay during our wedding week in Tamarindo. We were in absolute relaxation heaven our entire trip. The sunsets from the balcony overlooking the infinity pool are incredible. The master suite and private balcony offered a cozy retreat for us during a busy week, our guests all had great rooms for the entire week's stay. We all commented on how comfortable all the beds were. Each room has it's own air conditioner to keep you comfortable. We cannot compliment Rosa and Luis enough for preparing our delicious breakfast every morning. Fresh eggs, fruit, rice and beans, guacamole, avocados, toast....incredible. Mateo took great care of our needs during the week, changed rooms around for us, collected baby/toddler items for us so we didn't have to travel with them and arranged transportation, took care of our every need. When the propane ran out of the gas grill one evening, they sent someone right up to replace it and it was done in about 15 minutes! We only wish we could have stayed longer. Blue Water Property Management outdid themselves. If you have a large group, Villa Paraiso is a great place to stay. Villa Paraiso sits at the top of a very steep hill which is why the views are so incredible. It's an easy walk down in to town, and easy to grab a cab in town to take you back up if you don't want to walk. We did not rent a car and were able to get around without any problems.

Great Guys Trip

Great Guys Trip
Absolutely magnificent accomodations for 8 guys celebrating a little time away! Cleanliness, service, view, simple access to town center and awesome concierge service make Villa Paraiso an absolute must. No doubt that i will be back and this time with family and friends as the house will comfortably fit upwards of 15 guests! House layout affords the ability to enjoy moments with entire group (16 seat dining table), or you can easily find spots to be alone and catch up on some reading. Highly recommend!
I cannot say enough about what an incredible time we had at Villa Paraiso.
by Jason Lesier
I cannot say enough about what an incredible time we had at Villa Paraiso. After much consideration we selected this property as the site for our wedding and what a home run it turned out to be. All 40 of our guests for the wedding were blown away by the beautiful house and the incredible views, the infinity pool and the public spaces. It was the PERFECT venue for our event, not just the beauty of the location and the tasteful decor, but our caterer was thrilled to have such a high quality and well-appointed kitchen to work with and several of our guests remarked that it was the most amazing wedding they had ever attended. Aside from the wedding, there were 14 of us who stayed at the house for the entire week. We split the costs equally among our guests and although perhaps a minor point, I found it a nice relief to discover that ALL of the rooms (with the exception obviously of the incredible master bedroom) are equally gorgeous. So I didn't have to worry about anyone feeling that they got "the bad room." Each bedroom is equisite and obviously a lot of time and money went into this place to make it the stand-out property that it is. Communication, beforehand, during our stay, and closing out with the return of our deposit was excellent at all times. The people who own and operate this house are absolute professionals, they went above and beyond to make sure that our rental and our event was everything that we could have hoped for - and frankly it exceeded our high expectations. I hope to return someday to this amazing place.

THE place to stay in Tamarindo!

THE place to stay in Tamarindo!
This is the perfect get-away for any group. A+ decor with a lot of attention paid to details from the custom art on the walls to the carvings on the doors. The entire living room opens up to the outside patio and dinning area making it plenty of room for all your guests. With the infinity pool and all day breezes, you stay comfortable throughout the day. The service is wonderful. Breakfast is served every morning and every room in the house is cleaned. The gardner maintains the grounds and pool every day and actually came by and clipped leaves on the plants so we could see the beautiful red blooms! Taxis are easy to get and wonderful restaurants are just a short ride down the hill. But some of the best food we had was cooked at the villa by some fantastic local chefs. Price was reasonable and you can pick your menu ahead of time that will please the pickiest of eaters. Ask Tony or Andrei to hook you up with Bathsheba or Derek. Well worth it!!! I can't say enough about the people of Tamarindo or about Villa Paraiso. My group can't wait to go back next year!!

Villa Parasio is truly paradise and made for a great family reunion for all 17 of us, ranging in age 13 to 80.

Villa Parasio is truly paradise and made for a great family reunion for all 17 of us, ranging in age 13 to 80. We all agreed we could have stayed at the house all day everyday without leaving, the stunning view never gets old. The house is in perfect condition, everything is new and the bathrooms are large in each bedrooms. The dining table could seat all of us and made for great times overlooking the beautiful ocean and town. The kids loved the pool. The hill to get up to the house became the daily exercise challenge for the group. Or take the rental car down the hill right to the beach for perfect surfing, boogie boarding and body surfing. We brought in a cook for lunch and dinner to stay with us for the week. We HIGHLY recommend our cook Nohemy Garcia. Beyond fabulous, delightful, amazing cook who can make anything and is so fun to have around. We never ate out, too good to leave. The town is hopping with a lot of night life to be had, especially for the young. Enjoy!

SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL! We recently stayed at Villa Paraiso for a family reunion. There were 17 of us and the house was perfect. The rooms were great and there was one incredible penthouse with a view not to be missed. Be sure to check out the carved doors! The house is nestled atop a hill above Tamarindo, with an expansive view overlooking Tamarindo, the estuary, and the beaches and the view of the sunsets was beyond amazing. The kitchen is large (and there is an outdoor grill) and we made some wonderful dinners here. The dining room was outdoors, seated all of us and was completely covered by a tall roof. Dining was really luxurious as cool breezes flow up the hill and are an immense relief after the heat of town or the beach. Large doors open up to the outside creating truly indoor/outdoor living, and there is plenty of comfortable seating everywhere. We woke up to howler monkeys in the distance, flocks of parrots, freshly brewed coffee and wonderful breakfasts made by Rosa. She is a jewel. This is a fabulous place to vacation! While there we did have an issue with one of the a/c units, but a quick call to management and someone was there to fix it. Just a note, the road to town is steep. The walk down is not too bad, but take a taxi up, it is steep and rutted.
